borrowed from an unknown Chinese and Abe Lincoln This Fall (2002), San Jose City College is offering a unique collection of courses in business, management and marketing for your selection. These courses are offered both in the traditional classroom setting and online. Two infrequently offered courses are being scheduled: Bus 50 Survey of International Business [Internet] Along with Bus 113, Principles of Management, these two online courses constitutes a global learning community, which allows students to interact with students from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics in China. One will not only learn the skills to do business internationally, but also specifically about entering the Chinese market. Students will have extensive opportunity to exchange and share business concepts and cultural experiences, and learn from each other through discussions and projects. Mktg 110 Introduction to Personal Selling [Mondays, 6:15-9:30 PM] Selling, by all standards, is considered as the lifeline of any successful business; regardless of hi-tech or hi-touch, used cars or computer systems, consumer or industrial products. To be successful in a sales career, one relies not only on the skills in selling, but also in management and customer care. In this course, special focus will be placed in a systematic selling approach with emphasis on in-class activities in persuasion and negotiation skills, as well as the latest expert opinions on customer care and retention management. As Lee A. Iacocca once said on being successful, “The trick is to make sure you don’t die waiting for prosperity to come.” Do something for yourself now.
