Head Baseball Coach
Coach Robb is entering his 12th year at the helm of the Jaguars. Robb's Jaguars have averaged better than 22 victories a year over the past eight years, with a high of 32 in 2002. During Robb's tenure at City College, 91 Jaguars have transferred on to the next level, 75 of those players receiving scholarships, 10 signing professional contracts.
Coach Robb began his coaching career in 1983 at the College of San Mateo under the tutelage of Hall of Fame Coach (ABCA/CCCBCA) John Noce. In 1987 Coach Robb earned his teaching credential and begun teaching Physical Education in Los Gatos, CA. After school hours, Robb was an assistant at De Anza College under Ritchie Price (Head Baseball Coach / University of Kansas) for two years, then later at West Valley College for another two years.
In 1994, Robb earned his Master degree from Saint Mary's College of California. After the 1996 season, former SJCC Athletic Director Bert Bonanno made Robb the full-time Head Baseball Coach at City.
Coach Robb's father Dave played for the Cleveland Indians organization before WWII. Older brother David played for College World Series California State, Fullerton, and is presently Head Coach of the Kelowna Falcons of the West Coast Collegiate Baseball League.
Robb and his wife, Lisa, reside in San Jose California. They have two daughters, Veronica (7) and Alicia (5). |
