Community Borrower Card

Purpose

§         To allow adult community members to use the materials and services of the library.  Individuals must be at least 18 years of age.

Procedure

§         The Community Borrower Card can be purchased at the Circulation Counter for a non-refundable annual fee of $15.00. The fee must be paid in cash.  Checks are not acceptable.

§         A form of current, legal photo identification is required to obtain the card. Acceptable forms of identification are: California driver’s license, or identification card; United States military I.D., or passport. If the form of identification does not include a current address, another document proving residency must be presented; acceptable documents include: utility bills, or cancelled mail addressed to the applicant.

§         Benefits from having a Community Borrower Card:

o       Use of computers in Library and LRC;

o       Access to Group Study Rooms;

o       Borrowing of three library items at any one time.

§         Fines: Community Borrowers are subject to the same fines and penalties as students.
