1. To earn an AmeriCorps Educational  Award upon completion of service term by the June 2005  ($1000 for 300-hour members; $1,250 for 450-hour members);

2. The opportunity to gain extensive training in the field of Early Childhood Education;

3. To make a difference in the life of a young child;

4. To qualify for Pearson Teaching Fellowship ($12,500 stipend over two years, in addition to a teaching salary);

5. To earn a  Work-Study Stipend for those who qualify
