Tuberculosis Screening Tests (TST) and Immunizations

All students participating in the Emergency Medical Technician, Cosmetology, and Dental Assisting Programs are required to present proof of Tuberculosis Screening Test (TST). The documents of proof are required prior to enrollment and before the start of classes. Failure to show proof of TST after the third week of school may result in exclusion from program.

For Tuberculosis Screening Tests (TST),

• Consult your private health practitioner or
• County immunization clinic, (www.sccgov.org/) or
• SJCC Student Health Services, call 408-288-3724
• Please contact your instructors for the necessary forms of the Medical History and HIPPA consent forms.

After the initial appointment for the TST, return for the “read” within 72 hours. At the second appointment, you will be provided with the documents of proof. Provide the documents to your instructors to continue in your respective programs.

In addition, other immunizations are highly recommended.

• For students born after January 1, 1957, Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR)
• Hepatitis B series
• Tetanus
• Diphtheria
• Varicella
• Meningoccal Meningitis
