The Tutoring Center supports SJCC students by providing free
one-to-one and group tutoring in most academic subjects offered
on campus. Students must be referred by their instructor/counselor
to receive tutoring services. Students will need to register for
LS210 - Supervised Tutoring which is a no-credit and no-unit
course. Student tutors are faculty recommended, have received
a "B" grade or better in the course, and have completed tutor training.
In addition to tutors, many faculty members also assist in Tutoring
Center. Tutor and faculty schedule is posted in the Tutoring Center.
The Tutoring Center also offers following services: access to
textbooks and student solution manuals, graphing calculators,
overnight math videotape checkout, access to 8 personal computers
and scanner, assistance with Online Learning etc.
