Listed below are various scholarships from organizations outside of the San Jose Evergreen Community College District. Eligibility and application requirements and deadlines will vary. Please click on each link for more information.

Grainger Tools for Tomorrow Scholarship Program - APPLICATION - Deadline: April 11, 2013
Submit application materials to the Financial Aid Office
A $2,000 scholarship for technical education students and a customized Westward toolkit from the leading supplier of facilities maintenance products, Grainger.  Eligible students must be entering their final year of technical education studies at SJCC in 2013-2014 and enrolled in at least 12 units.  Areas of study include: electronic systems, heating/air conditioning, plumbing, welding, automotive, construction, facilities maintenance or other industrial trade.  To apply, you must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, submit an essay, letter of recommendation along with other materials to the Financial Aid Office. 

A limited numbrer of scholarships will be set aside for students who have served in the military. To apply for veteran scholarships, you must be honorably separated from the US Armed Forces (Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines or Navy).

Jim McEntee Legacy Scholarship - APPLICATON - Deadline: April 30, 2013
This scholarship fund is open solely to community college students transferring this academic year to a four-year university with junior year status. Students are encouraged to apply who have overcome obstacles to obtain a college education, including but not limited to: racial, religious, minority and/or immigrant status, GLBT, disability, foster child, povertySix $1,500 scholarships will be offered for the 2013-2014 academic year.

Lt. Jose A Santiago Memorial Scholarship - APPLICATION - Deadline: April 30, 2013
The Lt. José Santiago Memorial Scholarship was established in the honor Lt. José Santiago, a retired Lieutenant with Santa Clara County Department of Corrections whose introduction to law enforcement was during the Viet Nam War era, when he became a Military Police (MP) officer. An active volunteer in the community, José knew the importance of giving back to his community. He did this often by volunteering as a mentor to youth.

California Students Scholarship - APPLICATION and more information - Deadline: September 30, 2013
