Biography:
Holly Lampe Brosius graduated with a MFA in Dance from the University of California, Irvine and a BA degree in Dance from San Jose State University. While attending graduate school, she received a fellowship for her studies and a travel grant to research world-renowned dance teacher, Lynn Simonson. Her choreography was selected for graduate concerts and she performed with the Jazz Dance Ensemble directed by Bob Boross. Holly has been a professor of dance at Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Missouri and at Cypress College, Orange Coast College, Santa Ana College, Mt. San Antonio College, El Camino College, Cerritos College, Rio Hondo College, Long Beach City College and currently, San Jose City College. Her performance and choreography experience encompasses Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, Jazz, Modern, and Tap for various dance concerts, musicals, and events. Holly has received awards for choreography and academics as well as recognition in competitive dance circuits. Her recent studies in dance have been at the Boulder Jazz Dance Workshop in Colorado, the Millennium Dance Complex in Hollywood, CA as well as training with nationally and internationally acclaimed dance professionals in Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area. She has taught master classes at the American College Dance Festivals, Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, Colorado and at the Dance and Movement Workshop for California Dance Educators. Holly's musical and theatrical choreography credits are: The Wiz, Hair, Man of La Mancha, Smokey Joe’s Café, Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Zombies From The Beyond, Nunsense, Bye Bye Birdie, The Wizard of Oz, Picnic and Dark of the Moon.
