New Students — first-time students who have never attended SJCC (at least 18 years old or High School Graduate):
- Submit an application via CCC Apply.
- Schedule and take the Assessment exam.
- Contact the Counseling Department to schedule an Orientation session.
- Register for class(s) online at MyWeb.sjeccd.edu or by calling StaReg at (408) 223-0300.
- Obtain a photo ID card (free). You will need this card for library and other services, and to receive ASB benefits.
Continuing Students - currently enrolled students, or students who were on approved academic leave last semester at SJCC — continuing students are e-mailed their registration appointment based on the District’s Registration Priority procedure.
- Schedule and take the Assessment exam.
- Clear any holds you may have before registering
- Register for class(s) online at MyWeb.sjeccd.edu or by calling StaReg at (408) 223-0300.
Returning Students- students who have previously attended SJCC but were not enrolled during the prior semester and who are not on probation or dismissal:
- Must submit an application via CCC Apply and clear any holds you may have before registering.
- Register for class(s) online at MyWeb.sjeccd.edu or by calling StaReg at (408) 223-0300.
- Obtain a photo ID card (free). You will need this card for library and other services, and to receive ASB benefits.
Returning Students on Probation or Dismissal
- Submit an application via CCC Apply.
- Schedule a required counseling appointment.
- Clear any holds you may have before registering.
- Register for class(s) online at MyWeb.sjeccd.edu or by calling StaReg at (408) 223-0300.
- Obtain a photo ID card (free). You will need this card for library and other services, and to receive ASB benefits.
New Transfer College Students (students who have attended another college(s)):
- Submit an application via CCC Apply.
- Submit official transcripts to A&R.
- Schedule an appointment with a counselor.*
- Register for class(s) online at MyWeb.sjeccd.edu or by calling StaReg at (408) 223-0300.
*Academic counseling is not required for transfer students. However, to avoid delay in registering for classes (especially if you have completed prerequisite courses at other colleges) and the possibility of taking unnecessary classes, we strongly recommend that you meet with a counselor. Bring your transcripts to the counseling appointment so the counselor can determine if prerequisites have been met and any prior coursework is considered in developing your Educational Plan.
High School Students (R-40):
- Submit an application via CCC Apply.
- Submit a complete Attendance Approval Form (R-40) including all necessary signatures and the specific course you are registering for.
- Schedule and take the Assessment test, and attend an orientation.
- Register for class in person only.
- Obtain a photo ID card (free). You will need this card for library and other services, and to receive ASB benefits.
*Per State regulations, all high school students are required to submit the R-40 form for each term of enrollment. Concurrently enrolled high school students may only take courses approved by their principals, which offer enrichment and are not available through their high schools.
Students under the age of 18 and not in High School (R-42) that have not passed the California Proficiency Exam or GED, including home schooled students
- Submit an application via CCC Apply.
- Submit a complete Special Part-Time Student Admission Form
(R-42). Other supporting documentation is required, depending on the
student’s type of “part-time status.” Contact A&R for more
information. - Schedule an Assessment test at the time you submit your application and the R-42 form.
- Schedule an appointment to see the Dean of Enrollment Services.
- If approved to enroll, register for class in person.
- Obtain a photo ID card (free). You will need this card for library and other services, and to receive ASB benefits.
- Students wishing to register for the next term will be required to complete the above procedure.
