JAGUARS MISSION STATEMENT

San Jose City College Baseball is centered around the experience of the student-athlete.  Their preparation to play at the next level: whether it be NCAA I/II/III, NAIA, or professionally, is our top priority and concern.  We believe in building the complete student-athlete, one that will thrive both athletically and academically at San Jose City College.  We strive for our student-athletes to compete at the next level, earn a Bachelor’s degree, and become productive members of society.  Through this endeavor we make sure that each student-athlete has the choice on where they want to take advantage of the opportunity to play at the next level.
From the beginning of their freshman year, each student-athlete will receive specialized attention in choosing their courses to ensure they are on the proper academic path.  Through personalized support and the college’s academic resources, San Jose City College provides the best student-athlete support department in the state.  From the CARR program to the training of each coach, every student-athlete will be on an individualized 2-year program that will ensure they can seamlessly transfer to a four-year institution.  Their grades will be monitored and their class progression checked, all adding up to their choice of schools for the next level. 
On the field each student-athlete will be instructed with some of the highest competence at the collegiate level.  Individual and team skills will be developed and nurtured in our system that centers on the player.  Our coaches have played at every collegiate level (NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA), while some have professional experience.  On top of their baseball experience, each coach has either received their Masters, or is in pursuit of one.  Every position has a coach that is considered a leader in that respective field.  We believe that the student-athlete is the core of a successful program, and we treat them with the respect they earn as model young men.  We believe in our program, our process, and most importantly the players.
