Days of Week : Monday-Friday (June 24,2013-July 19, 2013) Position Title : Temporary Summer Express Instructor Hours per Week : Between 7:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Duties : The Position: The City of Sunnyvale is seeking self-motivated, energetic, responsible individuals interested in summer employment to teach in the Summer Express enrichment program. This program serves youth from 5 to 13 years old. The Summer Express program is held at Sunnyvale Middle School. Instructors are needed in the following subject areas: Art, Computer Basics, Sports, Martial Arts and Kindergarten Teacher.
. Instruct youth in specific subject matter, in a fun, energetic and safe manner.
. Maintain, and store equipment and supplies
. Interact with children, parents, school officials, volunteers, and City staff
. Ensure the safety and well-being of program participants
. Develop and execute daily lesson plans
Qualifications / Skills : Minimum Qualifications:
. Minimum age: 18 years old
. Paid or volunteer experience with youth or recreation programs is preferred.
. Must be available to work Monday through Friday between 7:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. The program dates are from June 24, 2013 through July 19, 2013.
. Drug test, TB Test, and DMV background check required as a condition of employment.
