Position Title : Light The Night Internship

Hours per Week : . 10-12 hours per week, and very likely to increase during the months prior to events. February - October with the potential to extend.

Duties : Light The Night (LTN) is a fundraising campaign within LLS that culminates in a series of two (2) evening walks taking place in the Fall in San Jose and the Peninsula. Participants are made up of teams of company employees as well as community based teams of friends and family members who come together to raise money through a variety of events for LLS.

This spring, LLS is seeking an LTN intern to work with the LTN campaign staff. We are looking for individuals with an interest in helping to further our mission and gain valuable professional experience at the same time. Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

. Make follow-up phone calls to various recruitment event invitees

. Work with LTN campaign staff to identify potential walk route sponsors and in-kind sponsors and coordinate distribution of material to prospective sponsors

. Perform various data entry projects as needed

. Provide high-level administrative support on special projects and LTN campaign events

Qualifications / Skills : . Current undergraduate or graduate student pursing a degree in non-profit management, social work, recreation, psychology, business, marketing, communications or a related degree

. 10-12 hours per week, and very likely to increase during the months prior to events

. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work independently

. Strong interpersonal skills

. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel

. Interest in furthering the LLS's mission and making a difference in the lives of patients & families
