Position Title : Patient Services Internship -Patient Navigator Hours per Week : Minimum of 6 months commitment and at least 4 hours per week in downtown San Jose office. Will work around class schedule.
Duties : LLS is seeking a Bilingual (Spanish) Patient Navigator Intern to work within the Patient Services Department. We are looking for an individual with an interest in helping to further our mission and gain valuable professional experience at the same time.
You will have the opportunity to familiarize yourself with LLS and local resources. Your responsibilities will include: contact local patients to check in, assist as needed with resources, and invite them to upcoming events. Perform other related responsibilities as requested and available.
Experience in oncology, social services a plus.
Qualifications / Skills : . Current undergraduate or graduate student pursing a degree in public health, social work, or related study.
. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work independently
. Strong interpersonal skills
. Interest in furthering the LLS's mission and making a difference in the lives of patients & families
