Machine Shop Purchasing Agent Job Description:

A machine shop in the San Jose area is in need of a buyer. This is a six-month contract to hire position that pays $22 per hour. There is one immediate opening.

Duties/Responsibilities:
-Determines method of procurement, such as direct purchase or bid.
-Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.

Experience Requirements
-Must have 2-3 years of purchasing experience in manufacturing and production environment, preferably in machine shop industry.
-Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the machine shop industry.
Demonstrated ability to work well with diverse workforce.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Strong computer skills

Swing Shift CNC Mill Set-up/Operating Machinist Job Description:

A company in the San Jose area is looking for qualified CNC mill machinists. Qualified candidates will have strong CNC machining skills and set up abilities. The position is for a swing shift opportunity from 2:30 p.m.-12 a.m. after training on a day shift for the first 90 days. Experience working with screw machines is strongly desirable. Must be able to interpret complex blueprints and work with tight tolerances. Lastly must be able to set-up and edit the machines. Pay is based upon level of set-up/operating knowledge of candidates.
