BECOME A DENTAL ASSISTANT

     If you are interested in a challenging and fulfilling career in dental assisting, look to the specialists for your training. San José City College enjoys the reputation of offering the finest education and training for dental assistants in Silicon Valley. The fully licensed experienced professionals of the teaching staff provide students with excellent skills training and academic preparation.

     The Dental Assisting facility includes a clinic outfitted with ten state-of-the-art dental operatories and five x-ray operatories where traditional and digital x-ray techniques are taught. Classes begin every semester with two instructors assigned to every thirty-five students. The recommendations for entering students include a CPR Certificate, Reading and Writing Level 2, the Hepatitis B Vaccination and TB test.

Mandatory Orientation for newly enrolled students: Thursday, January 22,  2009, 1:00 - 4:00 pm in Room T415.

The Dental Assisting Department is located on the 5th floor of the Technology Center Building at the corner of Bascom and Moorpark Avenue.
