SJCC Music is for Everyone

Make music part of any degree program. Most music classes count toward General Education requirements.

College music classes are for you if:

  • you want to get involved in music again
  • you want to learn how to sing or play a musical instrument.

Think about it:

  • Learn to play a musical instrument. Classes are offered in classical guitar and piano.
  • Perform music with others in a musical ensemble: Enroll in Musical Workshop (small groups of 3-6 performers) .
  • Learn about music and culture;Music 91 - Music Appreciation, Music 95 - Jazz Appreciation
  • Learn to read and compose music in a music theory class; Music 99 - Music Fundamentals
