San Jose City College's Physical Science program offers courses in Astronomy, Meteorology, Environmental Science, Oceanography and Geology. A more comprehensive curriculum is offered in Chemistry and Physics. These two departments have their own Web Page. We emphasize lecture-laboratory courses in order to provide students with varied learning experiences. Instructors utilize multimedia materials to enhance the effectiveness of their presentations. Laboratory class size is kept small so as to increase individual contact between students and their instructors.  A computer laboratory has been established for the use of students and faculty in room S-5.
