Support for Scholarship.
Silicon Valley's economic future rests on a highly trained workforce, and San
José City College has helped many deserving students get the training
they need to join our workforce. However, the college must increasingly look
to the private sector to assist us with scholarships, tutoring, and other support
for student assistance. Therefore, scholarship donations have been and remain,
one of the best investments for developing our local economy.
Expanding the Uses of Instructional Technology.
San José City College has been a major source of academic and vocational
education since 1921. Unlike any time in the past, new developments in technology
outpace our capacity to acquire and maintain equipment to meet instructional
requirements. That's why the College is requesting your financial contributions,
endowments and donations of equipment to augment the State's current allocation
(which falls far short of actual need). Your contribution is the best way to
assure that students will be trained on the most up-to-date learning tools available.
