This page contains answers to common questions handled by our support staff, along with some tips and tricks that we have found useful and presented here as questions.

Note: In these answers we will follow a few shorthand conventions for describing user-interface procedures. Key combinations will be presented like this: Ctrl+Alt+Delete, which means that you should press and hold down the Control key, the Alt key, and the Delete key at the same time. Menu selections will be presented like this: File->Open, which means that you should open the File menu, and then make the Open selection.

What are CTS&S' Location/Hours?

CTS&S is located in GE-106  (network services) and GE-118a (web services). Our hours of operation are from 8am - 8pm. CTS services are limited to phone support from 12pm - 1pm.

What services does CTS&S provide?

CTS&S is your one-stop-shop for all of your technical/technological needs. We offer duplication services, audio/video equipment & laptop checkout, computer & equipment repair, etc. For a complete list of services offered, please see our services web page.

Can I reserve audio/video equipment online?

YES! Use our new online forms to request audio/video equipment, schedule off-air recordings, duplication, or to report equipment malfunction/failure.

How to set-up Datatel R-18

 

Access Mail Remotely from Home

  1. To gain access, on the browser type 'http:\\www.sjcc.edu'.
  2. This opens the home page of SJCC website.
  3. On the left navigation bar, Click on 'Faculty & Staff' link.
  4.  This will open Faculty and Staff page. Click on the 'Webmail' arrow ( third arrow from the top).
  5. Login with your username ( sjeccd\username) & password.
