SJCC SOFTBALL ACADEMIC HIGHLIGHTS

•  We take pride in transferring out sophomores at about a 95% rate. Last year we had all 3 sophomores transfer to a 4- year university. Tiana King- Concordia; Danielle Torralba- SJSU; Angela Alvarez- Cal State Fullerton
• Ranked 19th in the nation in 2007 by the NFCA (National Fast Pitch Coaches Association) for team academics
• Ranked 1st in 2005 with a GPA of: 3.128 in all of California by the NFCA
• Ranked 2nd in 2006 with a GPA of 3.148 in all of California by the NFCA
• Ranked 1st in 2007 with a GPA of 3.08 in all of California by the NFCA
• 2005 Season there were 4 student athletes named NFCA All American Scholar Athlete with a GPA of 3.5 or better: Kristin Lebherz, Danielle Chapman, Jennifer Piergallini, and Charisse Pineda
• 2006 season there were 3 student athletes named NFCA All American Scholar Athletes with a GPA of 3.5 or better: Kristin Lebherz, Danielle Chapman, and Destinee Powers
• 2007 Season there were 4 student athletes named NFCA ALL American Scholar Athletes with a GPA of 3.5 or better: Melissa Gonzalez, Tiana King, Theresa Jacob, and Jennifer Sparks
• 4 Conference Championships: 1996, 1997, 2000, 2007
• 14 consecutive Regional appearances
• 2007 Final 8 in the State
