     Tait Rafat is the head coach for the San Jose City College women's volleyball team. His coaching duties include athlete training and development, opponent scouting and evaluation, recruiting, team travel, equipment ordering and distribution, and summer camps.
     Rafat comes to San Jose CC after having coached as an assistant with the University of Nevada, Reno Volleyball team during the 2005-2006 season. Prior to UNR, Tait taught Physical Education, Health, and Adapted Physical Education for eight years, six years teaching in the Denali Borough and Anchorage School Districts in Alaska and two years in the Clark County School District in Las Vegas, Nevada. While teaching he coached high school volleyball, basketball, and club volleyball.
      He spent the last 25-years living primarily in Alaska but splitting time between being home schooled in Strelna, Alaska and the public schools in Las Vegas.
      A 1989 graduate of Soldotna High School in Soldotna, Alaska he attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where he served as the manager for the Rebels men's basketball team for three seasons. He received a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from UNLV in 1996 and a master’s degree in Education with an emphasis in Sports Management from NOVA Southeastern University in 2006.
       He is CAP level II accredited by USA Volleyball as well as being a certified volleyball conditioning specialist. He is also a member of the American Volleyball Coach's Association, USA Volleyball, Northern California Volleyball Association, and the CBVA.
       Tait also coaches for Vison Volleyball club in the 17’s age bracket and his team has finished 36th two years in a row in NCVA 18/17 power league.
     In his free time he enjoys playing sand and grass volleyball, hunting with his chocolate labs, Copper and Mahi, fishing and riding snowmobiles in the mountains of Tahoe and Alaska.
     He and his wife, Shannon, have two daughters, Aleah and Maya.

Lotolelei Jennings is in his second season as the Assistant Coach for the San Jose City College Women’s Volleyball team. His coaching duties include team training, travel, stats, and summer camps.

Jennings got his first experience as a student-assistant coach with Ocala Middle School, San Jose, CA, during the 2001-2003 seasons. While he was a student there, Jennings played Basketball and ran Track & Field all three years. As he went on to high school, Jennings then became a student-assistant coach for the Overfelt High School Women’s team, San Jose, CA. There he gained much more coaching experience for the 2002-2006 seasons. There he trained the setters and liberos/defensive specialist. While as a student at the same time in high school, Jennings played basketball and ran Track & Field where he was honored as the team MVP. He then was the assistant coach in 2005 for Mai Ka Lani’s 16’s Area League Volleyball Club, San Jose, CA, where the team took 1st place out of 93 teams in the area. Then in 2006, Jennings was the assistant coach for N.Y.C 18’s Volleyball Club, Morgan, CA, where the team finished in the top 25 in the Area League.

Jennings who is a native out San Jose, CA, 2006 graduate of Overfelt High School is now a student at San Jose City College. He is looking towards to getting his A.A degree and going on to pursue a career in Kinesiology. A funny fact about Jennings is that he is the uncle of #7 Lorelei Afuola of the Lady Jags.
