​​​​One-on-one tutoring at the Learning Resouce Center at San Jose City College

​The Reading and Writing Center (RWC), L-103, offers a supportive and comfortable environment for all SJCC students needing assistance in any reading or writing assignment across disciplines. Students needing assistance in math, the sciences, accounting, and other subjects other than writing and reading should visit the Tutoring Center.


RWC services include:

  • Drop-in assistance for reading and writing assignments from peer tutors and center instructors
  • Scheduled tutoring appointments, up to one hour weekly
  • Resources for improving reading and writing skills
  • Course textbooks available for checkout
  • Computers with internet access for student use​
  • MLA and APA documentation support and resources
  • Academic writing handbooks
  • ​​Laptop charging tables​
  • ​A friendly &​ helpful staff

All currently enrolled SJCC students may use the resources and assistance available at the Learning Resource Center's (LRC) tutoring areas throughout the semester; no fees or referrals are needed.
