games. San Jose City College Classic... The Jags opened the first round of their tournament against Cosumnes River. The Jags had four players score in double figures in the 87-53 victory, Tayo Akinsete (16 pts), Jamaar Walker (12 pts), Tayo Enna (12 pts), and Antonae Roberson (12 pts). Next for the Jags was a (6-3) San Francisco City team who advanced to the second round after beating West Hills College. SJCC had three players in double figures in the 56-46 victory over San Francisco, Antonae Roberson (17 pts), Tayo Akinsete (12 pts), and Tayo Enna (11 pts). In the Championship game the next night the Jags played a great game against the (11-0) Colts from Canada College. The Jags come out on top with a 74-72 win. Tayo Enna led the Jags with 17 points, DeUndrae Perteete chipped in 15 points, and Antonae Roberson added 13 points. Tayo Enna earned the Tournament MVP award and Jamaar Walker earned All-Tournament honors for the Jags. |
The Chabot Tournament was
the 5th tourney for the Jags this season. The
Jags opened up against a Hot shooting College
of the Redwoods team. The Jags Beat Redwoods 88-65. The
Jags had four players in double figures DeUndrae Perteete
(12 pts), Tayo Akinsete (11 pts), Antonae Roberson (10
pts), and Mike Ledesma (10 pts). The second round of the tournament the Jags played the host team Chabot College. The Jags were led by Tayo Akinsete (34 pts) in their 90-83 victory. Bryan Stephens also chipped in 24 points. The Jags met Canada College in the championship game for the second tournament in a row. Canada advanced to the championship game after defeating Skyline College. Tayo Akinsete led the Jags again this time with 32 points in the Jags 78-65 victory. Three other Jags scored in double figures Antonae Roberson (14 pts), Tayo Enna (12 pts), and DeUndrae Perteete (10 pts). Tayo Akinsete earned Tournament MVP award. Antonae Roberson and Bryan Stephens earned All-Tournament honors for the Jags. |
