What Can Student Government Offer You?

Leadership training.

Student government teaches the value of leadership, learning to be a force in your chosen profession and your community. Learn to develop skills in organization and goal realization through participation. Potential for leadership begins with good training.

Camaraderie with other Leader-Oriented Students.

Get to know other students locally and state-wide, who share the same commitment to action as you. Work with people who are accomplishment oriented and people who will become your friends and important business contacts for life.

Involvement in Community Service.

An opportunity to learn the needs of your community and environment, how you can help community service organizations, and a chance to help others in realizing their goals.

An Opportunity to Change the Social and Political Environment.

Find out how AS is organized, how the power of student government makes a difference on campus, and how you can influence and improve on these structures for yourself, for your school and for the larger community.
