Student Activities

Students at San José City College participate as partners in the governance of the college. Student participation in district and campus government and activities is organized through the Associated Student Council, which represents all day, evening and extended campus students. There are opportunities to be elected or appointed to various leadership positions and committees.

Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Associated Student Council of San José City College to:

• Represent students of both the college and the community, to the campus, district, state, and national legislative bodies;
• Serve as a role model while protecting and advancing the rights and interests of students;
• Encourage education and participation in the democratic process;
• Provide information and activities that positively influence campus life, while welcoming diversity and encouraging scholastic success.
