Federal Educational Tax Credits and Student Loan Interest Deductions

Students who are not eligible for the Board of Governors’ Fee Waiver may be able to claim either a Hope or lifetime learning tax credit. Students who have borrowed federal student loans may be able to claim a deduction on their tax return. Check with your tax advisor or www.irs.gov.
