What
is Teach for Tomorrow?
Teach for Tomorrow (T4T) is a program at San Jose City College designed to:
- support and encourage students who are pursuing careers in teaching,
- develop/revise teacher preparation curriculum,
- develop community partnerships with K-12 schools and selected California
State Universities (CSU); and,
- provide pre-professional experiences in community classrooms for college
students.
Benefits of Joining T4T for Students:
- Support from designated counselors to develop individual education plans
- Invitations to workshops on pathways to teaching, teacher credential requirements,
CBEST preparation, financial aid options and educational planning
- Opportunities to meet with liaisons from San Jose State University and CSU
Monterey Bay to facilitate transfer
- Invitations to teacher-related conferences and events
- Opportunity to enroll in two new Education classes (Education 10 & 12)
- Opportunity to take the CBEST at no cost
Join T4T
To join Teach for Tomorrow, students must be currently enrolled at San José
City College and have an interest in becoming a teacher.
