San Jose City College is an Approved Electrician Apprentice Partial Curriculum Provider.


Requirements and Procedure for Admission and Registration:

  1. Fill out and submit an Application for Admission at San Jose City College online

  2. Take placement test at SJCC through the Assessment Center. Appointments may be scheduled online. If you test out of Basic Math 310 you can go into Math 13.

  3. You must be an approved apprentice through the Department of Apprenticeship Standards. Download state application here.

  4. SJCC school number is #146.

  5. Journeyman Electricians need 16 or 32 educational hours to keep a certificate current.
