Community Feedback Form / Survey Link

Dear Friends:

San Jose City College is committed to providing open and equitable access to quality
education and programs that prepare individuals for successful careers, and provide opportunities
to participate in our diverse and global society. We would like to engage you in a community conversation about our current needs and priorities.
San Jose-Evergreen Community College District has been providing affordable education to our
region for almost 100 years. High school students, working families and returning veterans have
been able to find high demand, high wage jobs here in the South Bay upon leaving SJCC.

Four-year California colleges and university systems are simply not affordable. For many
students, community colleges are a means of achieving their goals. However, without the
necessary needed repairs and upgrades to our current facilities, we will be unable to maintain the
outstanding educational resources we pride ourselves upon.

In a recent community survey respondents identified the following priorities:

  • Preparing students to transfer to four-year college systems such as University of
    California and California State Universities.
  • Improving educational resources for veterans.
  • Upgrading classrooms and labs for dental assisting, medical assisting, cosmetology,
    science, and technology programs.
  • Improving campus safety and security.
  • Removing asbestos from school buildings.

Presently, we are seeking the input of community members and leaders, with the goal of having a
district-wide conversation. Please take a moment to complete our Community Feedback Form
and return today. If you have any questions, please contact me at
