The mission of the Financial Aid Office at San Jose City College is to help students pursue their educational goals by making college an affordable experience. We are committed to providing quality service to students while assisting them through the financial aid process. As a division of Student Affairs, our goal is to nurture, support and empower students in developing and meeting their educational, career and personal goals while attending San Jose City College. The Financial Aid Office operates on the premise that no student should be denied the opportunity to pursue their education for lack of financial resources. Student aid programs (Federal, State, institutional and private) are designed to assist students who qualify with paying for their educational expenses.
The Financial Aid Office helps students apply for and obtain funds from a variety of student aid programs. The Financial Aid Staff offers assistance to students applying for financial aid. Students may drop in during office hours or attend one of several workshops held throughout the year – please check with the Financial Aid Office for more details.
