Game Notes:

SJCC picked up it's first win of the 2010 playoffs with a thrilling 4-3 victory over Consumes River College. The Jags advance to play Canada College this Friday and Saturday in the Regionals. Friday's game starts at 2:00pm and Saturday's at 11am. Game 3 will be after Saturday's first game (if necessary)

Game Notes:

SJCC suffered a very close lost to 1st place Chabot College on Saturday, 3-2. Gino Valletta and Zach Canez each had RBI singles to lead the Jaguar offense. Jake Paolinetti, Harold Zosel, and Dylan Auker al provided scoreless relief of starter Jacob Dexter. The loss brings the Jags to 11-5 in Golden Gate Conference play, 16-11 overall. City's next game is on Tuesday at 2:00 at De Anza College.

Game Notes:

San Jose City dropped it's 4th conference game with a 9-1 loss to West Valley College on Thursday. Despite the loss, the Jags still sit in second place with a showdown with first place Chabot College set for this Saturday. The game will be at Chabot College at 12:00pm.

Game Notes:

SJCC improved their conference record to 11-3 with a 7-2 victory over De Anza College on Tuesday. Matt Burns recorded the win on the mound, the lefty improved to 4-0 with his 7 2/3 inning of scoreless work. Matthew Cummins was the hitting star of the game, belting a 3 run homerun in the 8th inning to put the game out of reach. The Jags play West Valley College on Thursday at 2:00pm at Blethen Field.

Game Notes:

The 2010 Jaguar baseball squad kept its winning ways going, trouncing on Gavilan College 12-1 Monday at San Jose Municipal Stadium. The win wrapped up the first half of the conference schedule for SJCC, the Jags sit at 10-3 in Golden Gate Conference play and 15-7 overall. Matthew Cummins got the win on the mound, going 6 innings and surrendering 1 run. He was relieved with scoreless work by Steven Amaral, Ryan Navaroli, and Jacob Goetz. The hitting stars of the game were Gino Valletta and Zach Canez, both had multiple hit/RBI games. The Jags hit the road to take on Big 8 Conference leader Sac City on Tuesday and Thursday. Both games start at 1:00pm.

Game Notes:

In a wild Saturday afternoon game, the SJCC squad defeated Monterey Peninsula College by a score of 15-10. The win brought the Jags conference record to 9-3 and their overall record to 14-7. Danny Nelson and Matthew Cummins were the offensive stars of the day, notching 4 hits and 3 hits respectively. Kyle Tachibana got his first collegiate win in relief, while Jake Paolinetti, Jacob Dexter, Harold Zosel, and Dylan Auker also provided great work out of the bullpen. The Jags host their final conference game of the first half, squaring off Monday against Gavilan College at San Jose Municipal Stadium at 2:00. The Jags then travel to Sacramento City College for 3 days, squaring off against the Big 8 Conference leader with 2:00 games on Tuesday and Thursday.

Game Notes:

SJCC dropped a tough game, losing to the College of San Mateo 7-3 on Thursday afternoon. The game was marred by SJCC miscues on the offensive and pitching sides, but the Jags battled all the way and had their chances during the game. The loss drops City to 2nd place behind CSM. The Jags enter the weekend at 8-3 in Conference and 13-7 overall. Next game is Saturday at 12:00 vs. Monterey Peninsula College at Cabrillo College.

Game Notes:

SJCC got on another hot streak, taking down Mission College 15-4 on Tuesday. The win brought the Jags overall record to 13-6, and 8-2 in Golden Gate Conference play. The City offense exploded for 15 runs on 18 hits, led by a single and a double by Xavier De La Rocha. Jake Paolinetti picked up his first collegiate win in relief. The freshman submariner pitched 3 innings. Kyle Tachibana and Jake Goetz pitched scoreless relief to close the game. The Jags host fellow first place team San Mateo College on Thursday at San Jose Municipal Stadium at 2:00.

Game Notes:

SJCC got back on another winning streak, with a convincing 6-0 win over Chabot College at San Jose Municipal Stadium. In front of a sizeable crowd, Don Medlinger once again threw a gem, going 7 2/3 innings and not giving up a run. He was relieved perfectly by Harold Zosel, Jacob Dexter, and Dylan Auker. David Garcia and Danny Nelson had multiple hit games to pace the Jaguar offense. The win brings the Jags to 7-2 in conference and 12-6 overall. The next game is Tuesday at 2:00pm at Mission College.

Game Notes:

SJCC got back to its normal winning ways, beating Cabrillo College 3-1 on Thursday. The offensive stars of the game were Danny Nelson with 2 hits, and first baseman Tyler Tulowitzki with the go-ahead RBI double. Matt Burns started on the mound and was stellar, tossing 6 innings of 1 run ball. The game was finished with scoreless relief by Harold Zosel and Dylan Auker, picking up his 2nd save. The Jags get right at it Saturday with conference rival Chabot College. The game will take place at SJ Municipal Stadium at 12:00.

Game Notes:

SJCC dropped it's worse loss of the year by a 4-0 score to De Anza College. The loss put the Jags at 5-2 in Golden Gate Conference play, and 10-6 overall. The next game is Thursday at 2:00pm at Cabrillo College.

Game Notes:

SJCC completed a highly successful week with a 5-1 victory over Hartnell College on Saturday. The win was the Jags fifth straight to bring their conference record to 5-1. Matthew Cummins had two hits on the day to lead the offense. Jacob Dexter pitched 6 innings of 1 run ball to earn his second victory of the year. Harold Zosel and Dylan Auker provided scoreless relief to secure the victory. The first place Jags get back to action next week with a game against De Anza college Tuesday at 2:00 at DeAnza.

Game Notes:

The Jaguars notched their 2nd straight shutout with a 6-0 victory over College of San Mateo on Thursday. With the win, SJCC takes over first place in the Golden Gate Conference. Don Medlinger was the star of the game, throwing the first complete game shutout of his college career. The Jags return to action on Saturday at Hartnell College with a 12:00 start.

Game Notes:

SJCC tallied up its 3rd straight win with a 7-0 shutout of Mission College. Matt Burns turned in a sparkling outing, shutting out the Saints through 6 frames. Kyle Tachibana and Steven Amaral closed out the win with scoreless relief work. The hitting star of the game was Scott Masik. The freshman outfielder led off the game with a HR and added another base hit. The Jags travel to San Mateo on Thursday in an early Golden Gate Conference battle for first place.

Game Notes:

The Jags completed their first week of conference play by defeating West Valley College 11-3 on Sunday. SJCC was led by Matthew Cummins 5 inning effort on the mound (with 2 hits at the plate), 2 homeruns by Danny Nelson, and 1 by David Garcia. The Jags start the season off with a 2-1 conference record. Next game is Tuesday at Mission College at 2:00pm

Game Notes:

SJCC ended the preseason portion of the schedule with a bang by downing American River 9-4 in the opening game, and 11-5 to wrap up the double header. The hitting star of the day was Danny Nelson. Nelson went 6-11 on the day with 2 triples. Don Medlinger and Matt Burns picked up wins for their starts in each game. The Jags open up conference next Tuesday versus Canada College at 2:00pm

Game Notes:

The Jaguars lost a closely fought contest in the 2nd game of the series with Santa Rosa 4-1. Despite pounding the ball all day, SJCC could not push across any runners. The Jags lone run of the day scored on Travis Velo's RBI single in the 2nd inning. Matt Cummins started on the hill and pitched 6 strong innings. Harold Zosel once again pitched scoreless relief.

Place: Santa Rose
Game Notes:

SJCC traveled up to Santa Rosa on Friday and notched an impressive 8-1 victory over the host Bearcubs. The Jags scored early, posting 8 runs in the first 3 innings. It was a total lineup effort by the offense, with every hitter contributing by getting on base and situational hitting. On the mound the Jags were led by starter Don Medlinger. Medlinger pitched 6 strong innings for his first win of the year. Cedar Morgan, Jake Paolinetti, Jacob Goetz, and Ryan Navaroli provided scoreless relief to close the win. The two teams square off Saturday for a 1:00 start.

Game Notes:

SJCC notched its second win of the year with an 11-6 victory over host Modesto College. The victory brought the Jags to 2-2 overall in out of conference play. Ruben Zendejas led the City offense, going 3-4 with a walk. On the pitching side of things, Harold Zosel and Dylan Auker relieved starter Matt Burns with perfect relief. The Jags are off until next Thursday where they will play Canada College at 2:00pm.

Game Notes:

The Jaguars dropped their series with #1 ranked Delta with a 7-5 defeat. SJCC jumped out to a 4-0 nothing lead after 3 innings, but several defensive miscues did not allow the Jags to hold Delta off. Matthew Cummins started on the mound and pitched 5 1/3 innings of unearned ball. Kyle Tachibana and Dylan Auker provided outstanding relief. On the offensive side, David Garcia picked up his second homerun of the year and Billy Birrell added one of his own. The Jags resume play Tuesday at Modesto College at 2:00pm.

Place: Delta
Game Notes:

SJCC notched its first win of the year with a 14-11 win over Delta College. The series is now tied up at 1-1 and Saturday's game will decide the winner. The Jaguar offense was led with homeruns by Gino Valletta, Scott Masik, and David Garcia's game winner in the 8th. On the mound Harold Zosel notched his first win with 2 2/3 innings of relief. Dylan Auker picked up his first save of the year making quick work of Delta in the 9th. Saturday's game is scheduled for a 12:00 start.
