The SJCC Softball Team finished strong last year with a record of 34 - 12 which was a great season for SJCC. The Lady Jags were Coast Conference Champions and were ranked #7 in Northern California. With the opportunity of hosting the first round of the Nor Cal Regionals, the Lady Jags played a great weekend of softball but were unable to finish on top. The team was lead by six sophomores and eleven freshmen.

Academically, the Lady Jags were ranked #2 in California and #16 in the Nation among Community Colleges. The team GPA was 3.02. Eight players were named as Scholar-Athletes with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

This year’s team returns with eleven sophomores: Dre Arista, Mallory Powers, Erika Nowack, Tera Macias, Devin Cannon, Jessica Pepin, Alyssa Walker, Shesha Pizarro, Ashley Serrano, Nicole Bertolacci, and Alexa Abraham. The team standards are set high and with the leadership of the sophomores and the incoming freshmen. The tradition to be successful in the classroom and competitive on the field will stand. The Lady Jags will play like CHAMPIONS and NEVER GIVE UP!
