Library Services
Library Cards
Your SJCC I.D. Card, issued at the Information Counter in the Student Center, serves as your library card. You are responsible for the return of all library materials borrowed with your card. Fines are charged for overdue items, and payment is required for lost or damaged materials.
Loan Period
Loan periods for library materials are as follows:
| Books, compact discs, audio cassettes | 3 weeks |
| Magazines, pamphlets, maps, college catalogs | 1 week |
| Video cassettes | 2 days |
| DVD's | 2 days |
| Reserve materials (variable) | 1 hour – 3 weeks |
Reference materials, newspapers, microforms, many reserve items, and the most recent issue of magazines are for library use only.
Renewals
Borrowed items may be renewed twice, unless someone else has requested them. For renewals, call 408-288-3776, or go to http://library.sjeccd.org/patroninfo.
Reference Services
The reference counter is located directly facing the turnstiles as you enter the Library. If you need help locating information or using library resources, be sure to ask the reference librarian for assistance.
