Admissions Guide
To be eligible for SJCC admission, students must be at least 18 years old or have one of the following documents:
- High School Diploma
- General Education Degree (GED)
- High School Proficiency Certificate>
Students must formally submit an application for admission to the Admissions and Records Office (online or in person) prior to registering.
New College Student:
- File an Application for Admission in the Office of Admissions and Records.
- Schedule and complete Assessment and Orientation.
- Make an appointment with Counseling to discuss test results and course selection.
- Register for class(es) by telephone (408-223-0300) or Web at MyWeb.sjeccd.org.
Returning Student - On Clear Academic Status:
- File an Application for Admission in the Office of Admissions and Records.
- Obtain a registration date.
- Register for class(es) by telephone (408-223-0300) or Web at MyWeb.sjeccd.org.
Returning Student - On Probation Status:
- File an Application for Admission in the Office of Admissions and Records.
- Schedule a required counseling appointment; please call (408) 288-3750.
- Obtain a registration date.

Returning Student - On Dismissal Status:
- Complete a re-admission petition.
- Schedule a counseling appointment; please call (408) 288-3750.
- File an Application for Admission in the Office of Admissions and Records.
- Obtain a registration date.

Transfer College Student (Student Who has Attended Another College):
- File an Application for Admission in the Office of Admissions and Records.
- Schedule a required counseling appointment; please call (408) 288-3750.
- Bring unofficial college transcripts to your counseling appointment.
- Obtain a registration date.
- Register for class(es) by telephone (408-223-0300) or Web at MyWeb.sjeccd.org.
High School Student:
- Submit an "Attendance for Special Part-time High School Students" (R40) form, signed by your high school counselor.
- Schedule and complete Assessment and Orientation.
- Make an appointment with Counseling to discuss test results and course selection.

Open Curriculum Class(es) Only:
- File an Application for Admission with the Office of Admissions and Records.
- Obtain a registration date.
