Counselors help students assess their own talents and interests and relate them to educational programs and career alternatives. They also help students overcome life's stresses and formulate a plan consistent with their values and goals.
Counselors are knowledgeable in all majors, serve as liaisons with academic departments, and provide information about careers, university requirements, district policies and any needs concerning a student's education.
