Transfer Admission Agreement

What is the Transfer Admission Agreement (TAA) Program?
San José City College and 10 four-year participating institutions offer a Transfer Admission Agreement (TAA) Program for students planning to transfer as juniors to four-year colleges and universities. The TAA Program is for students who desire to have early confirmation of admission for a specific semester.
What schools have TAAs with SJCC?
TAAs may be written for CSU East Bay, CSU Monterey Bay, San Francisco State University, San José State University, Santa Clara University, UC Davis, UC Santa Barbara, UC Irvine, UC Riverside, and UC Santa Cruz.
Why should I transfer through the TAA Program?
- You will have early confirmation of your guaranteed admission
- You are registered in the Transfer Center as a TAA student, making you eligible to participate in transfer workshops
- Your San Jose City College transcript, General Education and IGETC Certificate are automatically sent to the four-year institution for you
- Your name will be added to the transfer mailing list to receive updated information related to transfer (i.e., Writing Skills Test (WST) information).
In addition to the above, San José State University offers the following for TAA students:
- Invitation to special TAA Workshops and teleconferences
- General Education Checklist and Transfer Credit Summary Evaluation prior to transfer
- The $55 admission application fee is waived for students applying to San José State University through the TAA Program.
How do I apply for the TAA Program?
To find out whether you qualify for the TAA program, have your TAA contract written and/or get additional information, make an appointment to see your counselor. TAAs are generally completed approximately one year prior to transfer for the fall term only. Below is information on the filing periods to complete a TAA for Fall 2007.
