This page contains answers to common questions handled by our support staff, along with some tips and tricks that we have found useful and presented here as questions.

Note: In these answers we will follow a few shorthand conventions for describing user-interface procedures. Key combinations will be presented like this: Ctrl+Alt+Delete, which means that you should press and hold down the Control key, the Alt key, and the Delete key at the same time. Menu selections will be presented like this: File >> open, which means that you should open the File menu, and then make the Open selection.

What are CTS&S' Location/Hours?

CTS&S is located in GE-106  (network services) and GE-118a (web services). Our hours of operation are from 8am - 8pm. CTS services are limited to phone support from 12pm - 1pm.

Can I reserve audio/video equipment online?

YES! Use our new online forms to request audio/video equipment, schedule off-air recordings, duplication, or to report equipment malfunction/failure.

Can I put my course online?

Absolutely. There are a number of differing options available, depending on your needs. The district standard Course Management Tools are Blackboard and Moodle. For details and training information please visit Online Learning web pages.

   How to set-up Datatel R-18

Access Mail Remotely from Home

 

  1. To gain access, type: https://webmail.sjeccd.org
  2. Click OK to accept the Securities Certificate Authorization.
  3.  This will open a pop-up window which looks like the one below in Internet Explorer or Netscape:

  1. Log on -- in the blank window type in Domain (SJECCD), back slash and your Username (e.g. kmnguyen).  Please see examples above. 

        

  1. Be sure you enter back slash (\) after the Domain:  sjeccd\your username and your NT password – click OK and this will open your mailbox.  You can read and send email and they will stay/be saved in your District mailbox. 

IMPORTANT:  When you are finished, be sure to Log Off and Close the browser by clicking the Log Off button and click OK to close the browser window.

 

 

Change Password Using Outlook Web Access (OWA):

  1. After you log-in to Outlook Web Access, click on Options button on the bottom left navigation bar.

  1. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, click on Change Password button

  1. In the Internet Service Manager window, enter SJECCD for the Domain, Account: Your Username, Old Password, and your New Password…and click OK. 
  2. Log-off and log back on with the New Password

Step 12: EXIT AND RESTART OUTLOOK

 

Notes:

1. The Junk E-mail Options work only for Outlook 2003.

2.  MS Office 2003 (Outlook 2003) updates might be required.

3.  Most junk e-mail is caught, but some regular mail may be caught as well. Check your Junk
     E-mail folder often.
