Transcripts

The first two official transcripts ordered at

San Jose City College are free!

 

This does not apply to Rush requests which cost $10.00 each.  A transcript request can be made by mail, FAX or in person at Admissions and Records (A&R).

Transcript Fees:

Regular Official (7-10 working days to process): $4 per copy
Rush Official (24 hours to process): $10 per copy

Regular Unofficial: $4 per copy

Students may also print unofficial transcripts from MyWeb.

Transcripts may be ordered using the Transcript Request form, or by submitting a written request.  Written requests must include the following:

  • Student’s Name (Include former name if applicable)
  • Student’s SJCC student ID number OR Social Security number
  • Student’s date of birth
  • Student’s contact information including phone number and e-mail address
  • Approximate dates of attendance
  • How many copies are requested
  • Names and addresses for location(s) of transcript copy(s)  to be mailed to
  • Students legal written signature
  • Method of payment, if applicable (cash, personal check or credit/debit Visa/MC)
         *If payment is required you can pay by including 
           your VISA/MC number and expiration date next to  
           your signature

Not including any of the above information
may result in a delay of your request.


All transcripts to be mailed, either to the requestor or a third party are sent via U.S. Postal Service, 1st class mail.  A&R does not fax any transcripts.

San Jose City College and Evergreen Valley College transcripts must be requested separately if you took classes at both colleges and want transcripts for classes taken at both colleges.

 

Transcripts from other post-secondary educational institutions may be required to establish a student's prerequisite for certain classes and/or to establish reading and writing levels prior to registering in certain courses. Students should file official transcripts with the college at the time of application for admission. Unofficial copies of transcripts or
grade reports may be used for counseling students into courses only.


Transcripts from all colleges attended are required of students who are candidates for AA, AA-T, AS, or AS-T degrees.  Both high school and college transcripts must be sent from the prior schools directly to A&R and will not be accepted from the student. Official transcripts become the property of the college and will not be returned or copied.
