The ceremony starts at 10 am

Additional Information

Academic regalia (i.e. cap and gown) is required. No other adornment is approved. We recommend that graduates not wear flip-flops or extremely high heels. You MUST wear cap and gown to participate in the Commencement Ceremony.

Each graduate will receive 5 wrist bands. The wristbands will grant you access to the SJCC Jaguar Stadium.

No alcoholic beverages of any kind are permitted anywhere in the SJCC Jaguar Stadium.

Traffic may be congested on commencement day due to other events in the area; therefore, we recommend that your guests plan to be at the SJCC by 9:00 a.m., in order to find parking.

Parking for guests with disabilities: ADA parking will be available in the next to the SJCC Jaguar Stadium additional parking is available in the parking lot C.

Seating for guests with disabilities: Reserved seats tickets will not be needed, but guest with disabilities should arrive by 9:00 a.m. in order to avoid the last-minute rush. Inside the SJCC Jaguar Stadium usher will be available to assist in taking individuals to the appropriate seating. Due to space limitations, only one person may accompany the guest with disability in the accessible seating area. Other family member may sit in the regular seating located throughout the arena.

Commencement is a formal academic. We encourage you and your guest to celebrate your graduation; however, we request that graduates and their guests behave with the decorum the occasion deserves. All families are waiting to hear the name of their individual graduate; please hold clapping and cheering until all of your classmates have marched across stage.

In order to ensure the best experience for all, the following items are not allowed at the ceremony:
- Balloons
- Confetti
- Streamer or “Silly String”
- Horns, megaphones, or other sound amplifying devices
