College Plans and Program Review

Since 1921, San Jose City College has been meeting the educational needs of its community. Programs and services have evolved over the years in response to changes in the environment; however, the one constant has been our focus on access through an open door mission. Our Vision at SJCC is "To Inspire Success. . . One Student at a Time." The mission of SJCC is to promote social justice by providing open and equitable access to quality education and programs that both challenge and prepare individuals for successful careers and active participation in a diverse, global society. To accomplish our mission, and to move the institution into the future, we have developed a comprehensive strategic plan. Within this plan are all the elements that help us fulfill our mission, which include the establishment of strategic goals and performance indicators, environmental scanning, resource allocation, and evaluation processes such as program reviews.   See SJCC Strategic Plan 2015 - 2017 for comprehensive plan.

2016 Education Master Plan and Facilities Master Plan

San Jose City College worked with consultants from Cambridge West and HPI Architecture to develop our 2016 Educational Master Plan and Facilities Master Plan.

Throughout the planning process, in addition to scheduled meetings with work groups and committees, there were  several open forums for individuals to express their ideas and provide feedback.  Please see the final SJCC Facilities Master Plan and Educational Master Plan in the Documents section below.
