All degrees and certificates requiring 12 or more units have been approved by the California Community College Chancellor's Office prior to being offered and awarded.

The certificates offered in our wide range of programs have been developed as either individual certificates or as building blocks to give students entry-level skills with higher-level growth opportunities as additional certificates are completed.

  • The Certificate of Achievement – Level 1 requires 12-17.5 units,
  • The Certificate of Achievement – Level 2 requires 18-29.5 units and
  • The Certificate of Achievement – Level 3 requires 30 or more units.
  • We also offer Certificates of Specialization which require .5 – 11.5 units, however, they are not state approved and will not appear on a student’s transcripts.

Many of our certificates build toward an Associate of Science degree, with the completion of the general education and graduation requirements.
