The Learning Community Space is located in the LRC in Room L-106. This space is designed for individual and small-group use, as well as Umoja and Puente community meetings, classes, and events. The space is managed by Donntay Moore-Thomas (Donntay.Moore-Thomas@sjcc.edy). Umoja and Puente students may use the space when it is not otherwise occupied for an Umoja and/or Puente event.

The Puente Project helps to prepare educationally disadvantaged students for college admission and success through its combination of accelerated instruction, intensive academic counseling, and mentoring by members of the community. Its mission is to increase the number of Hispanic and other educationally under-represented students who enroll in college, earn degrees, and return to the community as leaders and mentors to future generations.
