REQUIREMENTS
To participate in the San Jose Promise Program, students must commit to the following:
- Complete all eligible financial aid applications [FAFSA or Ca DREAM ACT)
- Attempt/Enroll a minimum of 12 units each semester (Fall and Spring) at San Jose City College
- Earn and maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA or higher each semester
- Attend required appointments with a METAS counselor (Yesenia Escobar or Sabrina Hagmann)
- Attend required orientations, focus group meetings, Financial Literacy workshops at San Jose City College

BOOK VOUCHER RENTALS
Students will receive an email from Donntay Moore-Thomas with instructions on how to order their textbooks online through the SJCC bookstore.
COUNSELING
Students will have access to METAS counselors, Yesenia Escobar and Sabrina Hagmann, to assist them with course planning and major selection, as well as to access and navigate school resources and transfer opportunities. Please contact Claudia Barajas or the METAS office to schedule an appointment.
