Work at the LRC
The staff at SJCC's Learning Resource Center (LRC) is looking for students to work as peer tutors; our program provides assistance for students in a variety of subjects, either during scheduled appointments or on a drop-in basis. Sessions take place in the LRC's tutoring areas. (Virtual for fall 2020)
LRC Tutors must be excellent students themselves, and are trained in techniques they use to assist students improve their learning and skills. Tutors receive the support of a team of instructors, tutoring center coordinators, and other peer tutors throughout the semester.

At a minimum, peer tutors must be reliable and responsible individuals, with clear communication skills, and considerable expertise (A or B grades) in at least one of the following subjects. Our subjects include but are not limited to: Math 25 or higher, statistics, English 1A or higher, ESL 91, Physics 4A, Chemistry 1A, biology, Accounting 20 or 21, psychology, sociology, foreign languages, computer science, and business.

LRC, Labs & Tutoring are closed on the weekends and on school holidays.
