The San Jose City College Veterans Resource Center (VRC) is located on the second floor in the Student Center across from the Job Placement Center.
The VRC is the liaison between veterans or their dependents, and the Department of
Veterans Affairs. Our goal is to provide Veteran students with services and resources to assist them as they embark on achieving their educational goals.
In collaboration with various resources on campus and Veteran community organizations and resources, we promote success by assisting students to overcome social, academic, transfer, and/or
personal challenges.
The VRC provides a space for veterans to gather, socialize, and form relationships with other veterans. This space is a hub for the
veterans programming efforts that include connecting with the Veterans Student Association and accessing resources provided by the college and local veterans agencies.
Successful veteran students here at SJCC need
a holistic approach to support services which include close collaboration with Financial Aid, Counseling, the Veterans Resource Center, and the Veterans Student Association, and the Student Affairs department overall.
